Our Story

It all began in 2012 when we first crossed paths and it’s been one of the most adventurous whirlwinds ever since.

Being business owners in the Event Industry I guess you can say that we live pretty busy lives. Taking time for ourselves and being able to disconnect is so important to us, and we’re firm believers that it’s an essential component and driver to our success. Connecting with nature has always been on the top of our priority list. When we have some spare time we like to pack up the boys, Ernie and Gilbert, and make our way to Algonquin Park for some much needed R&R.

Here’s a little bit about us:

→ Coffee Enthusiasts

→ Animal Lovers

→ Adventurists

→ Passion for the Ottawa Valley and Algonquin Park

More than just coffee...

We created Ottawa Valley Roast House with a purpose – to give back to our community and to preserve nature in an area we are so fortunate to call our home – the Ottawa Valley.

Our Roast House was derived and built entirely around our passion and love for coffee. Together, we wanted to incorporate our love for the Ottawa Valley and find a way to give back to our community. What better way than combining two of our most favourite things: COFFEE + HOME.

The Roastery began in a small family cabin, known to us as “ The Roast House”, nestled near the oldest provincial park in Ontario, Algonquin Provincial Park.

Spending most weekends in our cabin inspired by a love for coffee and the outdoors, we began experimenting with coffee roasting over the natural wood fire perfecting the most decadent brews.

The land has been a part of Brad’s life for as long as he remembers and it has been passed down from generation to generation.  The Roast House has always been our favourite getaway and signifies so much more than just a cabin. We’re so excited to be sharing this with all of you!

Adventure awaits,

Brad & Kayla
